The films premiering this weekend are polar opposites.? ?Dr. Seuss? The Lorax,? an animated family friendly film, and ?Project X,? a parent?s worse nightmare, are both debuting this weekend.? No matter the difference in the genres, these films are both supposed to be great entertainment to see this weekend.

?Dr. Seuss? The Lorax?

The imagination of Doctor Seuss is brought back to life in the film of ?Dr. Seuss? The Lorax.?? The film discusses a serious topic, the destruction of nature, in colorful animation.? In a closed off town made almost completely of plastic, 12-year-old Ted (Zac Efron) travels outside the town?s perimeters to find out more about trees.? He goes on a journey to find the Lorax, a tree creature, in order to impress his crush, Audrey (Taylor Swift).?

While this may appear to be just a kid movie, it has been made by the creators of ?Despicable Me,? a film loved by all ages.? The cast, featuring Danny Devito, Betty White, and Ed Helms from ?The Hangover,? won?t hurt the films odds either.? If you feel like walking further down childhood lane after seeing ?Cinderella? performed by the theater department this weekend, then head right into the movie theater to see ?Dr. Seuss? The Lorax.?

?Project X?

If you decide to veer off the path of childhood, then ?Project X? is definitely the film you want to see.? The movie portrays a party thrown by three anonymous high school seniors as they try to redeem their somewhat pointless few years in high school.?

If you like ?Superbad,? then you?ll love ?Project X.?? Not all of the actors in the film are quite famous, so that should add to the reality of the plot that the movie is trying to present.? The film is one hour and 28 minutes of what should be pure entertainment solidified with punching midgets, neighborhood fires, and tazing. If you are feeling inadequate in your teenage duties, then take a pen and paper and take some notes while watching ?Project X.?
